These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale of tours, holidays, treks, pilgrimages and related travel services by Chalo Travellers, the parent company that owns and operates the brands Chalo International, Chalo Trekkers and Pilgrimage in India (together, “Chalo Travellers”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This is the official website for all of these brands, and these Terms apply to every booking made with any of them.
By making an enquiry, requesting a quote, paying a booking amount, or travelling on any package, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your booking party. Our contact email for all brands is [email protected].

1. Booking and confirmation
An enquiry or quote request is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only when we have received the required booking amount and issued a written confirmation (by email or WhatsApp). You are responsible for ensuring all details you give us — names (as per passport/ID), ages, contact numbers, travel dates, preferences and any medical or accessibility needs — are complete and accurate. Prices are per person on the basis stated in your quote (for example twin-sharing) unless specified, valid only for the dates and group size quoted.
2. Pricing, taxes and payment
Package prices are subject to availability and may change until a booking is confirmed. Applicable taxes (such as GST) and government levies are charged as per prevailing law. A booking amount is due to confirm your booking; the balance is due before the date stated in your confirmation. Prices may be revised, even after confirmation, for reasons beyond our control — airfare, fuel surcharges, hotel or transport tariffs, taxes, entry fees, or currency exchange rates. We never ask you to share full card numbers, CVV, net-banking passwords or OTPs with our staff.
3. What is included and excluded
Your confirmation and the package page set out exactly what is included and excluded. Anything not expressly listed as included is excluded — typically airfare (unless stated), visas, travel insurance, personal expenses, tips, and anything of a personal nature. Optional activities you arrange or pay for locally are undertaken at your own risk.
4. Changes to your booking
If you wish to change dates, names, room category or other details after confirmation, we will try to accommodate the request but cannot guarantee it; changes may attract amendment and supplier fees. We may need to change your itinerary before or during the trip due to weather, road/trail conditions, supplier availability, permits or safety, and will offer the best available alternative of comparable standard.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellations by you, and any refunds, are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Certain components (flights, special-event bookings, permits and peak-season hotels) may be non-refundable regardless of when you cancel.
6. Passports, visas, permits and health
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, the correct visas and permits, and meeting all entry, health and vaccination requirements for your destination. You must inform us at booking of any medical condition, disability, pregnancy or dietary/accessibility need that may affect your travel — especially for treks, high-altitude trips and pilgrimages, which can be physically demanding.
7. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that every traveller purchases comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, evacuation (particularly for treks and high-altitude regions), trip cancellation and loss of baggage.
8. Our responsibility and liability
We act as a tour operator and booking coordinator and arrange services through independent third-party suppliers. We take reasonable care in selecting suppliers, but are not liable for their acts, omissions, delays or defaults, or for events beyond our reasonable control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount paid by you to us for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, landslides, floods, epidemics or pandemics, war or civil unrest, strikes, government action, border or road closures, or transport disruption. Supplier cancellation terms will apply to refunds in such cases.
10. Traveller conduct
You agree to follow the reasonable instructions of our coordinators, guides and drivers, and local laws and customs. On treks and high-altitude trips, safety decisions made by the guide are final. We may remove any traveller, without refund, whose behaviour is unlawful, unsafe or seriously disruptive. You are responsible for any damage or loss you cause.
11. Photography
We may take photographs and videos during group trips for our records and promotion. If you do not wish to appear in promotional material, please tell your coordinator in writing.
12. Complaints
If something is not right during your trip, tell your coordinator or guide immediately. Any complaint not resolved locally should be sent to [email protected] within 15 days of your return, with your booking reference and details.
13. Intellectual property
All content on this website and our brand materials — text, logos, itineraries, images and design — belongs to Chalo Travellers or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our registered office location shall have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
